Schmitt and Company’s in-house fabrication studio offers unparalleled expertise in decorative concrete and steel. Through constant research and experimentation, as well as unguarded collaboration with clients, architects, contractors and designers, our fabrication studio can successfully resolve the most complex design issues, creating one-of-a-kind furnishings and architectural elements that give your space a distinctive feel and wonderful functionality.

Our fabrication shop offers a wide range of services, including structural and ornamental steel, cast concrete and mixed media for residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Cast concrete
Our years of experience in mix design, mold making and finishing have enabled us to create a high-performing, non-toxic and incredibly customizable product that retains concrete’s natural beauty. From countertops to window sills to furniture, in any number of colors, textures and finishes, concrete’s endless versatility opens up a world of possibility, no matter the size of your project.
Metalwork
From exterior steel planters, to custom front entry doors, to striking architectural elements, we offer not only extensive fabrication and welding experience, but also knowledge of and access to the newest technologies. Patination has long been one of our specialties, and few metal shops can replicate the range of colors and hues that we can evoke in steel, copper, brass, bronze or stainless steel.

DESIGN BUILD PROJECTS
This beautiful guest suite began as a rather unappealing guest room with laundry and water closet attached. We re-imagined the space to include a luxurious bathroom as well as a private entrance offering guests access to the pool. The suite includes many custom elements, including the steel sliding door and window wall, a stunning cast concrete sink and built-in furniture. The spacious walk-in shower features travertine and glass tile details.
