Big Ranch Getaway

A contemporary estate infused with classic Napa Valley warmth.

Situated on the valley floor and boasting uninterrupted views of Napa’s iconic Stags Leap Peak, Big Ranch Getaway was designed and built to highlight and enhance its picturesque surroundings. Floor to ceiling glass panels bring the beauty and splendor of the scenery in. Cedar siding throughout the exterior lends warmth to the more contemporary board form concrete, steel, and glass of the core structure. With three bedrooms in the main residence, two detached guest suites, a lovely pool area, and an open floor plan featuring sliding glass panels for indoor/outdoor living, Big Ranch Getaway is the ultimate estate for entertaining.

Bringing Architect Mark Becker’s vision for floor to ceiling glass required quality engineering and a laser focused attention to detail. As is the case with all of our projects, the Schmitt + Company team had extensive discussions about the vision for the property and overall intention of the design before heading into construction. When it was discovered that a structural steel beam was disrupting the most important vista point of the whole property, we worked with both architect and engineering to find a solution that kept the view intact.
